One Year

So, our little stinker turned a year on the 5th! I've already posted a few pictures but just want to talk about what she's up to! This girl is walking everywhere. There's no stopping her either, since she thinks she can run. She mostly spends her day walking from room to room to room to see how far she can go without taking a break to hold onto something to regain her balance.

She's so much fun to be around and can turn my day around if I'm not feeling my best. Georgia has a love for puppies. Not real ones of course since that would just be terrifying (mainly due to my sister Ashley's dog who is hyperactive). Any picture she sees of a puppy or dog she'll point and get so excited about. She also loves to see pictures of herself. She refers to herself as "mama" as she does most things. She knows that I am her mom and calls me that too, but it's one of the only words she says so that's what everything else is, too.

Our struggle area is now eating. She can be the biggest pain to get to eat food. Even food she loves. If she's done or doesn't want it, she'll throw it off her tray onto the ground. If we had tile in our dining room, I might not care as much. But it's carpet. It's very stained now so we have been trying to teach her that it's not okay. She'll get a little flick on her hand. If Nick does it, she's fine and stops most of the time. If I do it, she laughs and does it again and again and again. Oh boy. We are in for it! She has sass like you wouldn't believe. But she really is the sweetest girl, too. Nick might not say so though. (He knows she is) Since I started teaching night classes 4 nights a week, she's had a hard time adjusting and won't go to bed for Nick. We would always just put her down together, or I would alone if Nick was at class. I didn't realize this would be a problem since she always goes down well for bed. Hopefully she'll learn to adjust soon.

We both are into our jobs now and it's exhausting but good. We're lucky we are both able to work. I got a new calling in the ward as the Ward Music Chair. I'm coming up with our Christmas program, so it's a little nerve racking but overall it's an easy job.

Georgia had her 1 year check up a few weeks back and was 20.13 pounds (29%) 29 inches tall (48%) and has her head in the 84th percentile. She still has just 2 teeth but we're hoping her top two will poke through soon since they have been there for weeks just dying to come out.

Another first is she got her first haircut. These weren't from the same day, but you get the idea.
Oh, and I cut it myself so don't laugh if you think she looks bad.

Much better in my opinion. At least it's all even.

Her newest thing she loves is when we are waiting to pick up Nick from work or school and we get there a little early, I pull her out of her car seat and let her play in the front on my lap. Her face lights up when she touches the steering wheel.

Eating her birthday cupcake. She only ate all the frosting.

All in all, I'm so happy to have her as mine and I couldn't have asked for a better little girl. Can't believe she's not a baby anymore. But she's excited for her new baby coming at the end of March. We'll know boy or girl in just over 3 weeks! Little does she know her poor little world will be turned upside down just then. She'll learn to love being the oldest sooner or later though. I love you Gerogia!
