The Happiest Baby

Things have been busy around here, with family visiting, etc., but things are going well for us. Georgia had her 2 month appointment on the 8th, and weighed in at 12.3 and was 22 inches long. At her 2 week appointment she was 7.6 and 20 inches, so in 6 weeks, she really grew a lot. She is is in the 95th percentile for weight! What a chunk, but we wouldn't have her any other way. She is sleeping great at night (in her swing) and is smiling at us intentionally. Here is what we have done in the past 3 weeks, starting with 3 weeks back. Sorry, it is a ton of pictures, but I'm too lazy to do multiple posts.

THE PUMPKIN PATCH:

My absolute favorite!

How about this for a christmas card? I really should just crop out me and Georgia.

This picture cracks me up every time. She is cross-eyed.

I am a mean mother and made her take a picture in the pumpkins.

BUMBO:

In her big girl seat.

Playing with Grammie!

She is such a good baby except for the fact she only wants to nap when you hold her. She sleeps so great at night, but wants to be held all day. I don't normally mind unless I have things to get done. (Like right now, she wakes up every time I put her down, and falls right back asleep when I pick her up.) And she likes to nap like that with Nick.

I love her fat face!

She hates anything on her head and will give you a big smile when it is taken off.

OUR HALLOWEEN KITTEN:

napping with Grandpa without her ears.

Dressed in her Sunday best! She loves it as you can tell.

Wow. Thats all that can be said.

As you can see, Georgia loves her daddy's kisses!
It happens every time.

I think she looks adorable in hats!

My little sweetpea on my birthday!

I have an amazing husband. I had my birthday on the 4th, and he decorated with my favorite color, purple, and had streamers up and blew up a bunch of balloons. We had my mom and Charlie and Scott for dinner, and Nick made my favorite recipe of potato soup and we had salad, bread bowls, a veggie tray, and pie for dessert. He is amazing. Really, I don't deserve him. I love him so much! Thanks baby for another wonderful birthday!

Georgia started smiling on the 1st of November! Seeing her smile makes my day! I'm such a sap, but the first time she smiled, it made me cry because it was so cute!

Look at all these rolls!

Fat girl in the bath!

Scott came to visit. We loved having him, and he loved meeting Georgia. Wish you lived closer, Scott!

I love this little baby face!

We are aware that sometimes she looks a little bit special. But we love her still!

I love this picture of her! So funny.

A Perfect Day

I have a wonderful husband. I love him so much, and he is amazing. I woke up Saturday morning to breakfast in bed. It was no special occasion, just him being sweet, bringing me pancakes and eggs in bed. We spent most of the afternoon doing school applications (really just nick). Then we got to go to the store together and do our grocery shopping. We got two redbox movies and picked up Barbacoa for dinner. We put Georgia down around 8:15 and spent the rest of the evening cuddled on the couch watching and laughing at our movies. (Mostly just laughing at New Moon.) It was nothing special, but at the same time it was! It was really a perfect day.

6 weeks and Visitors!

Our little doll is 6 and a half weeks now! I can't believe how big she has grown in such a small amount of time. She really is the perfect baby. She never really cries and sleeps like an angel, only waking up once a night. I love, love, love being a mom to her. She cracks me up with her many faces, (see below).

We were lucky to have my dad come visit us this last weekend! Georgia was on her best behavior and didn't cry any louder than his snoring, so he slept soundly. We were able to go out for some great Mexican food thanks to Mama Chu's, go for a picnic up the canyon, and explore Cabellas while he was here. We are sad we missed having you come along, Jen. Hope to see you soon!

The weekend before that, two of my three sisters drove up to visit. Georgia just adored having her aunts fight over who got to hold her. We were able to get some shopping done, and just have some good hangout time! Thanks for coming guys! Hope to see you again very soon.

Georgia just loved when Ashley held her. She even fell asleep smiling like this over her leg.

We were able to spend conference weekend with both sets of Grandparents here in Utah. It was such a fun weekend and we loved spending it with family. We are so lucky to live so close to family. I'm glad Georgia will be able to spend the first year of her life around grandparents, and aunts and uncles close by.

We have also been able to have some fun weekends that have included Jon and Karina. We love having you guys around to hang out with!

Georgia's On My Mind

Georgia Mae is the perfect addition to our family. At almost 4 weeks old, she already has a fun personality. I love her to death. She is a little bit dramatic most times, but such a blessing as well. Her aunt Nicea made this top for her. I love it.

Another thing: Of course Georgia has multiple songs about her, but she honestly loves the one that is most popular, the Ray Charles' Georgia On My Mind. Whenever she is crying hysterically, or just being fussy, I sing this song, and the crying will magically stop. I think she just likes being sung to in general, but I like to think that she just likes that song.
Also, she falls asleep when I burp her like this. It is so funny. She is a cute girl!
